DermaRoller & DermaStamp

  • Innovative micro needle technology to regenerate scarred skin
  • Treats the body and the face
  • Improves the skin’s texture and restores any volume loss
  • Works wonders to improve the appearance of acne scars, facial scarring and stretch-marks

DermaRoller and eDermaStamp are hand-held electronic devices that use the most innovative Micro-Needling technology to regenerate tired, scarred and aged skin. The devices are rolled over the skin, and ultra-fine needles gently puncture the skin’s cells, encouraging and stimulating Collagen reproduction.

Collagen plays a vital role in giving the skin it’s support, keeping it firm, plump and full of elasticity. Your Collagen production naturally declines as you get older causing your skin to show the visible signs of ageing: the skin starts to sag and fine lines and wrinkles develop. So by stimulating the production of anti-ageing bodies like Collagen and Elastin, DermaRoller and eDermaStamp restores vitality back in the skin as well as repairing scar tissue.

To reap the full benefits of this treatment, you have to be patient. It can take up to six weeks to see the full effects of the treatment, yet we assure you it’s worth it! Not only does this treatment work to revitalise your complexion but also makes your skincare products more effective! After your treatment, the active ingredients in your skincare products will be able to penetrate deeper into the skin’s layers, due to the tiny, micro-sized holes made during the treatment. We also recommend combining our favourite DermaQuest Essential B5 Hydrating Serum to enhance your results and complement your skin tone further!

By using only the newest, Microneedling technology we can ensure the most effective results. We never compromise on quality, safety and comfort, so by using the highest quality ultra-fine needles, ranging from 0.3mm – 1.5mm, we can provide the safest, most comfortable experience for you.

Will DermaRoller/ eDermaStamp work for my skin type?

Most people are suitable for this treatment, especially those wanting to reduce the appearance of acne or aged skin. If you suffer from acute acne, we may recommend you switching to an alternative treatment first to help with initial breakouts and soothe your skin. Then we may advise you to come back to DermaRoller or eDermastamp to treat the remaining scarring or discolourations when your skin is more readied.

The only clients we cannot perform this treatment on are:

  • Pregnant women
  • People taking photosensitive medication
  • If you have an uncontrolled diabetic condition

Why should I have choose DermaRoller/ eDermaStamp?

DermaRoller and eDermaStamp treatments are very diverse and have varying benefits. This treatment is versatile enough to treat a range of skin conditions and simultaneously target multiple issues within one session!

If you want to improve the appearance of acne, aged skin or stretch marks: DermaRoller and eDermaStamp are options worth considering. Or, if you just want to improve your skin’s tone/texture and give yourself a rejuvenating glow, we’ve got you covered! It just depends on you and your skin’s need.

The treatment works to stimulate the production of Collagen: which is essential in keeping the skin looking young, firm and beautiful. Collagen, not only has anti-ageing properties – which reduces the appearance of any fine lines and wrinkles – but also healing ones too. This combination makes it perfect for repairing any scarred and stretch-marked skin.

When treating acne and stretch-marks, the new production of Collagen visibility reduces the appearance of any skin damage. The ultra-fine needles work to reach the deepest layers of skin and smoothen any damaged fibres to restore balance to an uneven, marked skin tone.

Almost all of our clients report that after DermaRoller and eDermaStamp treatments, their skin feels fuller, looks visibly younger and any skin imbalances are reduced.

What areas of my body can be treated?

Most commonly, the face and neck are the most treated areas. Yet, as DermaRoller is very flexible, almost all parts of the body can be targeted. Common treatment examples in the past have been on the stomach, chest and thighs – where DermaRoller works especially well to reduce any unwanted stretch-marks found.

What results can I expect from DermaRoller/ eDermaStamp?

The skin’s natural regeneration process can take up to six weeks. This is because Collagen is produced in the deeper layers of skin, so it needs time to migrate to the skin’s surface. Yet once Collagen production has been activated, you should see lasting improvements to your skin’s tone.

Some clients see immediate improvements to their skin’s texture, where others see a difference after a week or so. The visibility of your result will depend on each person. When treating scarring, multiple treatments may be needed to see significant results as a higher concentration of Collagen production may be necessary to emulate the repair response and effectively heal the damaged skin tissue.

Pre-treatment advice

Prior to your Dermaroller/eDermaStamp treatment, you should get as little sun exposure as possible and not apply any fake tan as this can comprise the treatment’s effectiveness. You should inform your practitioner before your treatment if you have exposed your skin to the sun or have applied fake tan and they will advise you on the next steps.

We also recommend you avoid using any Retinol, Glycolic or Salicylic Acid products for 1-2 weeks before your treatment too.

How many treatments will I need?

For a general Anti-Ageing treatment, up to 3 sessions are needed consecutively, followed by maintenance of approximately 1 – 2 treatments per year for the most effective outcomes. You need to maintain the stimulated production of Collagen as it will naturally begin to break down and revert to its original functionality.

For Acne Scarring, depending on the level of scarring, between 3 – 6 treatments are needed.

For stretch marks, again depending on the severity of your marks, between 3 – 6 treatments are needed.

Your treatment options and plan will be discussed with you during your initial free consultation.

Aftercare

You must avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after your treatment and we recommend you use Heliocare SPF on a daily basis. We also advise you use the Genuine Dermaroller Masks once or twice a day to rehydrate your skin and protect the regenerating skin cells in the few days following your treatment.

Your skin might feel dryer after treatment, so we recommend that you use a B5 serum for extra nourishment.

We also recommend you avoid going to the gym or use any leisure facilities like saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools, for up to 72 hours after the treatment.

Lastly, avoid using acid-based products for 1 week after treatment. We recommend switching to a mineral-based make-up which can be applied 12 hours after the treatment. We recommend using mineral-based make-up as the formulas are usually kinder to the skin compared to traditional cosmetics and can also help hydrate your skin following the procedure.
